Once again, the application period for NIC’s DDLC internship with the Virtual Student Federal Service is now open. All graduate and undergraduate college students with U.S. citizenship are eligible to apply, whether they will be studying domestically or abroad. The major does not matter; although, students with a background in library science, criminal justice, and/or public policy have reported finding the work of the internship most interesting.
Students accepted into the program will meet weekly online and will be tasked with performing various duties related to research and outreach for the DDLC project. Past interns have been involved in performing desk research, coding data, writing research summaries, and setting up interviews for the DDLC Webinar Series. This year, students are expected to engage in similar projects.
