Job Opening: Cataloger
The Arthur D. Jenkins Library (ADJL) at the GWU/Textile Museum in Washington, DC, seeks a temporary, part-time cataloger to work on a grant-funded project to improve access to the library’s holdings by improving and making accessible its bibliographic and holding records. The cataloger will be responsible for cataloging print and visual resources and for working closely with the librarian to ensure smooth migration of the library catalog, Textile Muse, to a new integrated library system.
Candidates must have an ALA-accredited master’s degree in library and information science or equivalent education and experience (subject expertise combined with library experience). Experience in an art library environment is preferred.
Interested candidates should email ADJL Librarian Lynora Williams at email@example.com for full job description and application guidelines. No phone calls please. For more information about the Arthur D. Jenkins Library, visit museum.gwu.edu/library
