The Health Sciences and Human Services Library at the University of Maryland, Baltimore seeks a Social Work Librarian to fulfill the research, learning, and information management needs of the School of Social Work community. This position provides leadership and expertise in the areas of evidence-based research, course development, instruction, health literacy, scholarship and scholarly communication, and social work informatics.
ALA-accredited MLS degree is required; an undergraduate degree or comparable background in social work, the social sciences, public health, or a related field is preferred. Public service experience in an academic or health sciences library is desirable.
This is a full-time, permanent status-eligible faculty appointment at the rank of Librarian I with a starting salary of $48,000.
