To assist with the development and execution of a Records Management
program, including the creation and implementation of records schedules,
for both electronic and analogue records.
Â§ Produce a short and long-range plan regarding a sustainable Records
Â§ Work closely with IT and other departments to ensure the reliability,
security, and accessibility of all records, regardless of format.
Â§ Work with records creators across departments to establish proper
records management processes and procedures.
A§ Work with staff archivist to create and administer the proper guidelines
for the transfer of records for permanent retention
Â§ Related archives tasks as assigned.
Â§ MLS graduate student in library, archives, and/or information science,
with an emphasis in Records Management
Â§ One to two years of experience in Records Management, and archives
Â§ Knowledge of archival principles and practices, archives access
techniques, information organization, and archival appraisal of records
Â§ Experience conducting RM interviews, use of function analysis or
organization of records by department.
Â§ Experience creating records retention and disposition schedules
Â§ Experience creating RM policies and procedures
Â§ Proficiency with PC, Microsoft Office tools
Â§ Strong written and oral communication skills
Â§ Strong service orientation required
Â§ Ability to work independently and in a team oriented environment
Â§ Experience training staff in proper Records Management practices
Â§ Familiarity with registrarâ€™s files, and museum records
