MITRE’s McLean campus is located at the new McLean station on Metro’s Silver line. MITRE’s Information Services department seeks an Information Analyst to join our successful Custom Research and Knowledge Services Team within the Corporation. The Information Services department is responsible for working across MITRE to provide information services such as environmental customer scans, research analyst services, digital libraries, InfoDesk Services, and SharePoint stewardship.
The Information Analyst will work within the Custom Research and Knowledge Services Team to provide information support to MITRE’s work programs and MITRE Way activities. The Information Analyst will be responsible for performing research and analysis in support of a variety of agencies within the Federal Government. The individual will be required to have an in-depth understanding of information management practices that translate into successful products and solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

In this role, you will utilize your research expertise to:
•Investigate and meet the business/market intelligence and knowledge management needs in support of our work for multiple federal agencies
•Search major commercial and open source databases, organize and synthesize results, and analyze and deliver customized research.
•Work with portfolio managers to address information support for specific program needs
•Expand, build and maintain relationships with customers throughout MITRE
•Proactively market services and respond to requests

•Demonstrated problem solving ability, using Microsoft Office suite of products to render information in Excel charts and tables, PowerPoint briefings, and Word documents.
•Familiarity with SharePoint, content management systems, and collaboration tools
•Familiarity with bibliography management tools
•Thorough knowledge of major commercial and government market research resources
•Ability to organization, analyze and display information or data and draw conclusions
•Ability to organize and synthesize research results – providing summaries, recommendations, conclusions, assessments, etc.
Minimum Education/ Experience
*This position will require overnight travel up to 20 % of the time as well as some local travel.
