The role of Digital Innovation Specialist is to support the Library in providing computational access to digital Library collections as part of a grant funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation entitled “Computing Cultural Heritage in the Cloud” (CCHC). This effort will help produce models for supporting cloud-based research computing, and will make the costs and possibilities of this work more transparent to the broader cultural heritage community.

Anyone may apply – By law, employment at most U.S. Government agencies, including the Library of Congress, is limited to U.S. citizens. However, non-citizens may be hired, provided that other legal requirements are met and the Library determines there are no qualified U.S. citizens available for the position.
