ASIS&T CUA Student Chapter Volunteered at St. Anthony Catholic School

As a volunteer event of ASIS&T CUA student chapter, LIS/HIT students, faculty and family visited St. Anthony Catholic School on October 19, 2013.

The participants were Darhlene Banks, Meghan Burke, Amy Chenaille, Martha Chapin, Dr. Sung Un Kim, Colin and Megan McLaren, Samuel Russell, and Dr. Sue Yeon Syn. To make the library collection more accessible to students at St. Anthony, we worked on sorting books (weeding and organizing), preparing books for cataloging, cataloging and processing, repairing damaged books, and shelf reading. Ms. Joan Nolte (librarian at St. Anthony) explained the tasks and worked with us. Thanks to the participants again! Check out the photos at

ASIS&T (Association for Information Science and Technology) CUA Student Chapter The CUA Student Chapter of ASIS&T provides an opportunity for its members to share their special concerns and present programs which cater to specific interest as it relates to career goals as information science professionals. Members will be invited to participate in ASIS&T CUA student chapter events such as: general meetings, volunteer opportunities, guest lectures and networking with local professionals which will enhance students’ personal growth and career development.
