SLIS Preservation Week Symposium – April 24

School of Library and Information Science of the Catholic University of America would like to invite you to join a symposium on April 24th, Wednesday, 7 PM, Aquinas Hall 102 on CUA’s campus.  Click here for directions.

In celebrating Preservation Week 2013, students in LSC757 Library Automation and Project Management class organize the symposium with the theme, “Exhuming our Collections: Bringing Daylight to our Hidden Collections.”

Participating speakers and topics include:

* Libby Smigel, Executive Director, Dance Heritage Coalition.

* Jordan Patty, Processing Archivist/Librarian, George Mason University Libraries Special Collections and Archives Department.

* Paul Williams, President, Historic Congressional Cemetery

The symposium is open to the public. The symposium will be recorded and made available for later viewing at the school’s website.
