All are invited to attend the Fall CUA Library and Information Science colloquium, Monday Sept. 9, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Slowinski courtroom of the Columbus School of Law on the CUA campus.
Come and hear National Public Radio librarians Kee Malesky and Janel Kinlaw as they share with us the vital role played by NPR’s librarians in researching, enhancing, producing, and archiving the network’s news and cultural programming. Learn how they are breaking ground in the news industry as product developers and managers – launching new digital applications and upgrading the infrastructure running “under the hood.” Janel and Kee will share a typical reference day at NPR, how they have integrated into the newsroom and adapted their services to the changing needs of the company, and how they have implemented new archival databases.
Note regarding accommodations: Please contact David Shumaker, firstname.lastname@example.org, at least five business days in advance to request accommodations for individuals with disabilities. This includes the need for materials in an alternative format (i.e. large print or Braille), Sign Language Interpreters, accessible seating, and parking information.
