Library Programming Coordinator – American University Library – Washington, DC

The Library Programming Coordinator develops and manages event programming for the Library and the University Librarian’s office, including selecting and developing library programming as a whole, event and conference planning, contract and vendor negotiations, site selections, marketing, budgeting, and logistics. S/he develops coordinated social media strategy that integrates events and general Library promotion within the Library and across campus, and is responsible for assessing programming and social media for effectiveness in achieving Library goals of building awareness and increasing engagement with the Library and in turn the University. This position is the main point of contact in the Library for events, room policy, and social media for campus offices, vendors, and clients.
