Instructional Technology Support/Tester (testing new application features on development server and various devices, putting in support tickets for or assisting users with academic applications including Blackboard, Topaz, and Panopto, other requests forwarded by the staff of Instructional Technology).
General Job Description (with duties and responsibilities):
This position will work closely with and support the Instructional Technologists at CUA. The student will test new and existing features of supported applications including Blackboard and Panopto. This position may need to submit support tickets or respond to other requests forwarded by the staff of Instructional Technology. This position may require some irregular work hours; including overnight once or twice a semester during system upgrade cycles.
Special Skills/Experience (needed to perform duties):
This applicant will need to be familiar with software applications (especially Blackboard) and able to apply an understanding of computers in an online environment. The preferred applicant will have a background in computer science, content management, or education with experience in usability testing and heuristics. Knowledge of various mobile devices, operation systems, and hardware is also preferred. The position requires good customer service, proofreading, writing, and critical thinking skills.
Position pay: $13/hour
