FCC Library Virtual Internship (non-paid) – Fall 2020

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in Washington, D.C. is seeking a Library and Information Science graduate student for the Summer 2020 term.  The FCC Library is a small federal library that supports the information resource needs of the Commission by offering access to legal, legislative, economic, and engineering materials.

As a Library Virtual Intern, you will have opportunities to engage in multiple FCC Library projects, including: creating and updating digital research guides on topics relating to the work at the Commission; assisting with collection management, interlibrary loans, e-Library maintenance and other access services; answering selected research information requests; and assisting with library marketing strategies and events.

An interest in law librarianship is preferred, but not required.

Scheduling for this position is flexible but must stay between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday. Please note – due to COVID-19, this internship will be fulfilled virtually.
