The Cafritz Foundation Award is an annual program to recognize and reward outstanding performance and exemplary service by DC Government employees.
Barbara L. Post (MSLS 1996), Manager of Information Services at the
Transportation Research Board, received the 2010 Raymond Von Dran Memorial Award during the 2010 Catholic University School of Library and Information Science annual Stone Lecture on April 20, 2010. The Von Dran award is presented annually by the SLIS Alumni Association, to recognize SLIS Alumni for outstanding innovation, collaboration, and leadership in the Library and Information Science profession.
Jessica Beauchamp (MSLS 2007), the 2009 2nd DC/SLA Vice President and Ethics Ambassador, is a recipient of the SLA Rising Starts honor. This honor is given to SLA members in the first five years of their library career who have shown exceptional accomplishment and potential for the future.
